For: a mold or pan of 11 inches
Ingredients
- 2 sticks of melted butter
- 1 cup + 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup + 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
- 2 apples
- 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
2. In a large bowl, whisk the butter, the sugar and the vanilla, until you get a light texture.
3. Add the eggs and mix.
4. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, the baking powder and the salt.
5. Add this mixture to the batter and mix. Then add the yogurt and mix.
6. Peel and cut the apples in thin slices.
7. Add the apples to the batter, delicately.
8. Pour into the pan.
9. Dust the pie with sugar.
10. Bake for about 1 hour. The pie has to be golden.
