These meatballs, which come straight from Greece, are made with lamb meat and enhanced with fresh herbs. They are accompanied by the famous tzatziki.
For the cooking, it is up to you to see what you prefer, either in the frying pan, or in the air-fryer, or even in skewers on the BBQ!

Start by preparing the tzatziki: peel the cucumber, then grate it and place it in a colander with 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Let drain for 20 minutes.
Squeeze the cucumber in a kitchen towel to remove as much water as possible and mix with the yogurt, chopped mint, finely chopped garlic and pepper. Set aside in a cool place until ready to use.
Prepare the meatballs: finely chop the onion, garlic and fresh herbs.
Mix the meat with the rest of the ingredients and let stand for 30 to 60 minutes in a cool place.
Shape into golf ball sized balls and fry in oil until nicely browned and cooked through.
To cook in the air-fryer, preheat the appliance to 400°F (200°C), spray the meatballs with a little olive oil (you can also choose to spray the bowl), then cook for 15 minutes.
Serve the meatballs with tzatziki, pita bread and raw vegetables.
