Prep Time: 5 minutes
Rest Time: 2 x 1 hour for letting the dough rise
Baking Time: 20 minutes
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients
For the dough
- 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 sachet of active dry yeast
- 1 cup of warm milk
- 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon of butter, softened
For the filling
- 4 to 5 tablespoons of Nutella
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until you get a dough (make sure that the salt and the yeast are not in contact with each other, otherwise the dough will not rise). Cover with a clean kitchen towel. Place in a warm space and allow to rest until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
2. Roll the dough in a rectangular shape.
3. Spread the Nutella, but only on one half.
4. Cut stripes on the other half.
5. Roll the half with the Nutella until the end of the stripes.
6. Put 2 chocolate chips to form the eyes.
7. Cover the snake and let it rise for about 45-60 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 355° F.
9. Use a pastry brush and spread a yolk above the snake.
10. Cook for about 20 minutes.
