This year, to celebrate Halloween, I’m proposing pumpkin-shaped masks, made from puff pastry and filled with apricot jam.
Very easy to make, and even quicker to devour!
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Baking Time: 15 minutes at 350°F (180°C)
Difficulty: easy
Yield: 8-10 pumpkins
Ingredients
- 2 puff pastry sheets
- Apricot jam
- 1 beaten egg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180 °C).
Using a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter, cut out pumpkins from the first sheet of puff pastry.
On the second, use the same cookie cutter but cut out pumpkin faces, using a sharp knife to form the eyes, nose and mouth. Let your imagination run wild!
Place the pumpkins on a lined baking sheet.
Using a pastry brush, brush each pumpkin with beaten egg yolk.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Spread apricot jam over each whole pumpkin, then cover with a face.
Happy Halloween!
