It’s almost July 4th. Want homemade burgers? Here is a recipe for buns, which is absolutely delicious and easy to make. You’ll have extremely soft buns that go wonderfully with your burgers or sandwiches!
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Resting Time: 1 h + 2 h
Baking Time: 15 minutes at 350°F (180° C)
Difficulty: easy
Yield: 5 burgers
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour (500 g)
- 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons of warm water (2 dl)
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 3 egg yolks (big eggs)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 cup of powder milk (2.5 dl)
- 2 tablespoons of sugar (35 g)
- 1/4 stick of melted butter (50 g)
- 1/4 cup of sunflower oil (50 g)
Instructions
1. Pour the flour, water, yeast, egg yolks, salt, powder milk and sugar into the robot’s bowl. Mix 5 minutes at slow speed, then 10 minutes at fast speed. About 3 minutes before the end, stir in the butter and oil and mix until you get a smooth dough.
2. Cover and let stand for 1 hour.
3. Flour the work surface. Separate the dough into 5 equal portions.
4. Roll each into the flour and form buns.
5. Place the buns on a lined baking tray.
6. Cover and let rise for 2 hours.
7. Preheat the oven to 350° F (180° C).
8. Bake for about 15 minutes.
9. Let cool, then cut in half and garnish with what you want.
