The Holiday Season often goes with the making of a few small cookies. Here is a recipe for Maple Syrup cookies, delicious and fine!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Rest Time: 1 hour
Baking Time: 12-15 minutes at 350°F (180° C)
Difficulty: easy
Yield: approx. 20 cookies
1. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In the bowl of a food processor, whisk the butter, maple syrup and sugar until frothy.
3. In a large bowl, mix flour, cornstarch and salt.
4. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Mix at slow speed to incorporate it well and obtain a still slightly granular dough.
5. Film the dough completely and let it rest for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
6. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
7. On a floured work surface, spread the dough to a thickness of 0.14 inch (3.5 mm).
8. Using a floured maple leaf shaped cookie cutter, cut out the shapes.
9. Place cookies on baking sheets, leaving an even space between them.
10. Sprinkle cookies lightly with sugar or maple sugar (optional).
11. Bake 12-15 minutes, until the edges of the cookies are lightly browned.
