For Mother’s Day, instead of giving your mom real roses, make her these apple roses with puff pastry and jam instead.

Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 13 oz puff pastry dough (375 g)
- jam (raspberry, apricot, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
Cut the apple into quarters. Remove core. Cut into thin slices.
Brown the slices in a frying pan over low heat with a tablespoon of butter and sprinkle with a tablespoon of sugar for about 20-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
Unroll the puff pastry and cut 4 strips.
Spread the jam over the entire strip.
Place apple slices in an overlapping pattern.
Fold the dough over the apples.
Cut each strip down the middle.
Roll tightly.
Place in a buttered and lightly sugared muffin tin.
Bake for about 40 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
Unmold while hot. Wait for it to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
You can serve these apples in roses with vanilla ice cream or vanilla cream if you feel like it!
