A delicious orange cake with ground almonds. With a little greedy side thanks to the frosting.

For: a rectangular mold of approximately 11.8 inches (30 cm) or a round mold of 11 inches (28 cm) of diameter
Ingredients
For the cake
- 2 cups + 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour (300 g)
- 1 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar (300 g)
- 1 3/4 cup of almonds, grounded (200 g)
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 2 pinches of salt
- 4 eggs
- 2/3 cup of butter, melted (150 g)
- 1 orange, zest and juice
For the glaze
- 1 cup of icing sugar (150 g)
- 2 tablespoons of orange juice
Instructions
1. In the robot’s bowl, mix the flour, sugar, almonds, baking powder and salt.
2. Stir in eggs, butter, zest and orange juice and stir.
3. Pour the dough into the prepared baking pan.
4. Bake for about 50 minutes. Remove, let cool a little, unmold on a wire rack.
5. Meanwhile, prepare the glaze, then spread it over the cake (here, the version with a round mold).
