There’s no shortage of potato-based recipes… here, I propose a mashed potato-based recipe, presented in the form of nests, themselves decorated like mini-pizzas.
One of the advantages of this recipe, as well as being original, is that you can vary the pleasures with what you have left in the fridge, just as you can with pizzas! The choice is yours!

Yield: 8-9 nests
Ingredients
Pour les nids de pommes de terre
- 17.6 oz potatoes (500 g)
- 1 1/2 tbsp butter (30 g)
- salt, pepper
- 1 egg
For the toppings
- mozzarella balls
- tomato sauce
- basil leaves
- Vienna sausages
- chives
- etc.
Instructions
Peel the potatoes and cook for 30 minutes in boiling salted water. Les tranférer ensuite dans un bol.
Add butter and purée.
Add salt, pepper and egg, and mix well until compact.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Transfer the mixture to a piping bag.
Form nests on a baking sheet lined with baking paper by making several turns of the dough on themselves.
Bake for 10 minutes. Do not turn off the oven.
Garnish nests with tomato sauce, mozzarella balls or slices of Vienna sausage and chives, or any other topping of your choice.
Bake for a further 10 minutes.
Add a few basil leaves and serve immediately.
Vary pleasures by changing ingredients: peppers, mushrooms, etc.
