Ingredients
For the dough
- 1/ 2 cup of butter, softened (125 g)
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar (100 g)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- zest of 1/2 lemon
- 1 cup of ground almonds (100 g)
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour (125 g)
For the filling
- 1/3 stick of butter (40 g)
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar (50 g)
- 2 eggs
- 3-4 apples, unpeeled, seeded and roughly grated (500 g)
- zest and juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar and salt.
2. Add the egg and stir until bleaching.
3. Add the zest of lemon, almonds and cinnamon and stir.
4. Add the flour and stir.
5. Spread in the mold (you must get an edge about 0.8 inches high – 2 cm).
6. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
7. Once again in a large bowl, stir the butter and brown sugar at high speed.
8. Add eggs and stir until bleaching.
9. Grate the apples.
10. Add apples, lemon juice and zest and cinnamon and stir.
11. Spread on the bottom of the dough.
12. Bake for about 50 minutes.
This cake can be kept for 2 days, wrapped in food film.
