These caramelized nuts are called “Pralines” in France. They are usually composed of almonds and you may find them pink. For this recipe, hazelnuts have been used. The result is the same: insanely good!

Ingredients
- 2 cups of hazelnuts or almonds
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of water
Instructions
1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan and bring them to the boil until water is almost completely evaporated.
2. Remove the saucepan from the hotplate and continue to mix. Sugar will become like sand.
3. At this very moment, put the saucepan back on the hotplate. Sugar will melt and caramelize the hazelnuts.
4. Place the caramelized hazelnuts on a baking sheet and let them cool down.
5. Pull them apart with your hands.
