A recipe for a Christmas appetizer that will amaze all your guests, both visually and tastefully!

Baking Time: 20 minutes at 350°F (180°C)

Ingredients
- 2 sheets of puff pastry round or rectangular (1.1 lbs, 450 g)
- 6 oz of green or black tapenade (180g)*
- 1 egg yolk
*If you want to make your own tapenade, look at the instructions at the end of the recipe.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Using a rolling pin, roll out the puff pastry on a floured work surface.
Spread the tapenade fairly thinly over the first puff pastry.
Cover with the second one and cut out a Christmas tree. Make stars with the leftover dough.
Transfer everything on a backing tray covered with parchment paper. Cut parallel strips from the Christmas tree and roll them up.
Brush with beaten egg yolk and bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
Tip: replace the tapenade with pesto, tomato sauce + mozzarella or even chocolate for a sweet version!
*Homemade Tapenade
Ingredients
- 200 g of pitted black olives (200 g)
- 1 garlic clove
- pepper
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil (0.5 dl)
Instructions
- Place all the tapenade ingredients in a fairly hollow container.
- Mix roughly with a blender. Adjust the seasoning to your taste.
