This rice recipe is really original and can accompany many dishes with poultry or meat. The rice is well perfumed, without being too much spicy!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup of basmati rice
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/2 stick of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
- 3 whole cardamom cloves
- 3 cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and cut in half
- 3 cups of water
- salt and pepper
Instructions
1. Slice the onion.
2. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, brown the onion in the oil.
3. Add the spices, garlic and rice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Continue cooking over medium heat, stirring until rice starts to stick to the bottom of the pan.
5. Pour water. Stir and bring to a boil.
6. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 12 minutes or until rice is tender.
7. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
