Here’s a very nice recipe for individual twisted brioches, topped with granulated sugar. The dough is really soft, my “favorite” recipe for making brioches!
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Baking Time: 10-12 minutes at 350°F (180°C)
Difficulty: easy
Yield: 8 brioches
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups flour (500 g)
- 1 1/5 cups water (300 ml)
- 1/2 cup sugar (50 g)
- 1/4 cup butter (50 g)
- 1 bag of active-dry yeast
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
In the bowl of a food processor, mix all the ingredients for the dough, making sure that the salt and yeast are not in direct contact. Blend for a few minutes until smooth.
Cover and leave to rest for 1h-1h30.
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Roll each into a sausage, then twist as shown in the image below.
Place the brioches on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Leave to rest for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Rest for 10 minutes.
Glaze brioches with egg yolk and sprinkle with pearl sugar.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 10-12 minutes.
Enjoy with your choice of jams and spreads!
