Meatballs made from ground beef, coated in a delicious Korean sauce. You can serve these meatballs with couscous or rice – the choice is yours!

Ingredients
For the meatballs
- 17.6 oz ground beef (500 g)
- 2 oz panko (60 g)
- 1 onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2/3 cup beef broth (1.5 dl)
- 1.7 oz brown sugar (50 g)
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Instructions
Start by preparing the meatballs: blend all the ingredients to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Chill for 30 minutes before forming golf-ball-sized balls.
Pan-fry for about 10 minutes over low heat.
Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: mix the vinegar, broth, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and cornstarch. When the meatballs are cooked, add the sauce to the pan and reduce by a third, while coating the meatballs.
Serve with white rice or couscous.
