A light salad recipe with a very interesting sweet and sour side. The acidity of the grapefruit is softened by the toasted sesame oil.

Ingredients
For the sauce
- 2 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. sunflower oil
- 1 grapefruit, rinsed in hot water and dried with paper towels, only half of the grated peel, reserve the rest
- ½ tsp. sugar
- ¼ tsp. salt
- a little pepper
For the salads
- 11 oz grated carrots (320 g)
- 2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
Combine vinegar, toasted sesame oil, grapefruit zest, sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Add carrots and stir, then let stand for about 5 minutes.
Cut off both ends of the grapefruit and peel it raw. Then, using a sharp knife, remove the white skin from the grapefruit segments and collect the juice.
Mix supremes and juice with 1 tbsp. sesame seeds and add to salad.
Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
