After having proposed you witch fingers (sweet recipe) for Halloween, I propose you a savory recipe with charming (?) ghosts worthy of a haunted house!
Made of puff pastry and pesto, they will delight young and old alike without a doubt! Bad appetite!
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Baking Time: 20 minutes at 350°F (180°C)
Difficulty: easy
Yield: 8 ghosts
Ingredients
- 1 rectangular puff pastry sheet
- 8 teaspoons of pesto
- 1 egg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Unroll the puff pastry and cut out 16 triangles of the same size.
Place half of the triangles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, then spread 1 teaspoon of pesto on each triangle, leaving a small border.
Cut out two eyes and a mouth from each of the other triangles, using a knife or other kitchen utensils.
Using a pastry brush, brush the edges of each triangle on the baking sheet with beaten egg.
Then close each ghost with the triangles containing the faces. Solder the edges well.
Brush ghosts with the rest of beaten egg.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes.
Why not replace the pesto with tapenade (olive paste) for next year?
Happy Halloween!
