This apple pie starts with a flaky homemade pie crust, followed by a delicious apple pie filling and finished with an sweet and buttery streusel crumb topping. The perfect pie for Thanksgiving!

For the crust: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Gather mixture into a ball and roll out round on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to a 11-inch pie plate.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the crumb topping: Add brown sugar to a medium mixing bowl. Add flour, salt, vanilla, and melted butter, and mix.
Prepare the apple pie filling: In a large mixing bowl, toss sliced apples with remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter and lemon juice. Add sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, and cinnamon. Toss mixture to evenly coat.
Assemble the pie: Layer the apple mixture into the pie dish, spreading and pressing into an even layer and turning slices flat.
Break crumble into small clumps and sprinkle evenly over the top of the pie.
Bake in preheated oven until apples are almost fully tender when poked with a toothpick, about 50-55 minutes.
Remove pie from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
