The Halloween party is fast approaching and it’s time to prepare your “petits fours” for the evening! This one is composed of coffins, pizza-mommies, pumpkins and scary bones!
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Baking Time: 20 minutes at 350°F (180°C)
Difficulty: easy
Yield: 3-4 persons
In the puff pastry, draw with a knife 8 coffins, 4 small circles, 4 rectangles and 4 medium circles.
For the coffins
Place 1 tablespoon of tapenade on 4 of the coffins, then cover with the other 4 coffins. Weld the edges well with a fork.
For the pizzas-mommies
Brush the 4 small circles with the tomato sauce. Cut the olives into 8 slices and the Emmental cheese slices into thin strips.
Place 2 slices of olives on the 3 circles to form eyes and then cover the rest of the face with strips of cheese to represent a mummy.
For the mozzarella bones
Sprinkle the 4 rectangles with grated mozzarella and roll them across the width. Mold them so that the ends are wider and rounded than the center. Cut a notch on each end to form bones.
For the ham pumpkins
Mix the ham with the cream and mustard until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Place 1 tablespoon in the middle of the 4 medium sized circles. Form a ball, then tie like a paupiette with kitchen string.
Baking
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Place all the “petits fours” on the baking tray covered with baking paper and brush them with egg yolk.
Bake for 20 minutes.
At the exit of the oven, draw ketchup crosses on the coffins using a toothpick, remove the string from the pumpkins, then enjoy.
