Prep Time: 1 hour
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Difficulty: easy
Yield: approx. 45 gyozas
Ingredients
For the filling
- 16 oz of ground pork (450 g)
- 1 garlic clove
- 3 green onions
- 1 small piece of ginger
- 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 pinch of salt
- 45 sheets of gyoza dough
For the sauce
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- a few drops of toasted sesame oil
Instructions
- Cut all the vegetables into small pieces.
- In a large bowl, put all the ingredients for the filling and mix well until the mixture is sticky.
- Place 1 teaspoon in the centre of each gyoza dough.
- Moisten the perimeter with water, then fold the edges together, overlapping slightly. Place the gyozas on a plate.
- Heat a frying pan, then pour 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Place the gyozas and cook for 1 minute over high heat, then turn them over.
- Pour 3 tablespoons (0.5 dl) of water over the gyozas, cover the pan with a lid and steam for 2-3 minutes. Remove the cover and cook until the water has evaporated completely and the underside of the gyozas is golden brown.
- While the gyozas are cooking, prepare the sauce: mix all the ingredients and serve in small bowls.
Enjoy!
