Here’s a new Asian recipe, featuring marinated strips of beef, which are then cooked in a sweet, generous honey-based sauce. All served with rice! A pure delight!

Cut the meat into strips about 1/2 cm thick.
In a blender, blend the shallot, garlic and ginger. Add soy sauce, then mix with beef strips. Leave to stand for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or for several hours in a cool place.
Add the cornstarch to the meat and toss to coat. Let stand 10 minutes.
Heat a tablespoon of peanut oil in a frying pan and sear the meat on all sides.
Add half the finely chopped green onions.
Add the sauce and coat the meat well.
After a few minutes, add the starch-water mixture and allow to thicken.
Serve the beef over white rice and garnish with the remaining spring onions and sesame seeds.
